Join us for the this vintage film which contains unexpected glimpses of art school life. This comedy drama directed by Stuart Cooper – the first feature film produced by George Harrison, who supplied incidental music – features art student Malcolm (John Hurt), expelled from Oldham Art School, at war with ‘the Eunarchy’ of social conformists and sexual timidity. The film is part of the contextual programme for our exhibition, The Art Schools of North West England by John Beck and Matthew Cornford.
